A month of awards at UKFast

UKFast had a fantastic month in November 2008, gaining three awards for local, national and international achievement.

The Deloitte Fast 50

The first award of the month came in the form of the Deloitte Fast 50. UKFast was added to the list of the fastest growing technology companies in spot number 28. This is in recognition of the 894 per cent growth UKFast has seen over the last five years - a massive amount in such a short time.

MEN Business of the Year 2008

Locally, UKFast claimed the Manchester Evening News' Business of the Year 2008 in the £10m turnover category. UKFast went through rigorous assessments in terms of culture, turnover and growth.

The judging panel included representatives from the MEN, RBS, PWC and Pinsent Masons. They said this year's awards attracted one of the strongest fields in the event's history, with all finalists showing impressive leadership and innovation in their chosen sectors.

"It was a nail biting experience at the awards dinner while we were awaiting the results," says Lawrence. "I was absolutely ecstatic when they announced we'd won.

"In the face of an economic downturn we are hitting new heights. Our success is very much determined by that of our clients. Businesses residing on our network are growing at a faster rate than their competitors which is testament to UKFast's speed and reliability."

The international InfoWorld 100

UKFast's third November award was an entry into the international InfoWorld 100 list. This accolade recognises 100 of the best technology solution in the world. The list celebrates IT projects that exemplify intelligent, creative uses of technology to meet business and technical objectives. UKFast was the only hosting provider to make the list.

InfoWorld's senior editor, Jason Snyder, commented: "Breathing new life into outdated operations, advancing business goals with inventive use of technology -- this year's winners demonstrate, once again, that innovative, business-minded IT is the lifeblood of successful organisations."

UKFast's managing director, Lawrence Jones, said: "We're honoured to have been included in this year's InfoWorld 100 list. We're dedicated to creating an innovative hosting service that helps our clients' businesses grow and this award recognises that commitment."

ISPA winners for four years running
