I'm very proud of the fact that UKFast is the first and only ISP to be named 'Best Hosting Provider' four times consecutively. In total we have been fortunate enough to win six ISPA awards in the last six years.
In 2009 the ISPA introduced two new awards to recognise business excellence within technology companies and UKFast managed to win both these accolades.
The judges felt that "the level of support that UKFast offered its customers was superior to that of the other entrants". The judges were particularly "impressed with the innovative ways in which UKFast engaged with its customers, such as hosting events and through its film department".
The second of the new awards looks at what ISPs are doing to give back to the community.
The judges commented that "many companies could be doing much more in the area of CSR, but were impressed with the work that UKFast has done to enhance Digital Inclusion". They also felt that "the courses that were offered to staff and the work in designing diplomas in schools were important and made UKFast worthy winners".
While UKFast is no stranger to hosting gongs, this fourth award has been bestowed for the first time with specific focus on the provision of dedicated servers.
The 10th Annual UK Internet Industry Awards were held at the Marriott Hotel, Grosvenor Square, London on March 14th, 2008. To take the spoils UKFast had to come through a rigorous evaluation.
All of the finalists' systems were extensively monitored by Epitiro Technologies. Industry judges then scrutinised the top players and deemed UKFast to provide the most complete package.
This year UKFast beat off competition from Pipex owned Donhost and Keen Computers as well as North West rival Opal to win the award for Best Business Host.
An ISPA spokesperson said, "The judges agreed that UKFast can cater for the hosting requirements of any business. It was felt that UKFast can provide good security and tech support with a solid awareness of the applications necessary to run a successful business."
UKFast was crowned the internet's Best Hosting Provider for the second year running at the ISPA Awards in London. Host Dominic Holland, described UKFast as the runaway winner at the ceremony on Thursday.
An ISPA spokesperson said "A unanimous judging panel felt that UKFast was the clear and decisive winner. UKFast offers clients a free and full daily back-up service as standard and an impressive service level guarantee with a firm commitment to uptime. UKFast offers personal and friendly customer support, with a technical person promising to pick up the phone within three rings. With this commitment to customer service and support, UKFast "wins hands down."
The panel were so taken by UKFast's "three rings and you're in" policy that they tested it a handful of times. "When somebody says something like that, you just have to test it - in fact we all had a go!" said one member.
UKFast beat off competition from Tiscali and Mistral to be crowned Best Hosting Provider for the first time in 2005.
An ISPA spokesperson said, "The judges were impressed with UKFast 's commitment to deliver value, performance and quality support for its customers. UKFast 's impressive submission was confirmed by its performance in the three months of independent monitoring and testing. It is a well secured hosting service with a 99.99% service level guarantee."
